Finn Sheep
We love the Finn Sheep. They are a small sheep and easy to manage. Rams average 170-240 pounds. Ewes average 130-180 pounds. They have wonderful sweet personalities. We like their medium fine wool that comes in a variety of colors and blends well with the angora. And with the miracle of dyes I can make white wool any color you want.
Finn sheep may have litters of lambs. That seems normal to us since we also raise Rabbits. Twins and triplets are considered normal, and more than that seems to be as common as single births. (the current record is 8, but more than 5 is rare) They are excellent mothers, usually giving birth unaided, and are great milk producers.
There are many other reasons to choose Finn Sheep:
Finn Sheep have clean face and legs. (no wool to trim there)
They have short tails that do not need to be docked.
They are polled (without horns).
